Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Mangalam Digital, the wedding invitation and planning service at mangalam.digital. By creating a wedding or signing in you agree to them.

1. Who we are
Mangalam Digital (“Mangalam”, “we”, “us”) is operated from Colombo, Sri Lanka. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. The service
Mangalam lets a couple design a digital wedding invitation, share it with guests through a personal link, collect RSVPs, and plan the wedding with tools such as the guest list, budget, checklist, agenda and seating planner. Each wedding gets its own address of the form yourname.mangalam.digital.
We may add, change or retire features over time. We will not remove a feature you have paid for during your wedding's active period without offering a reasonable alternative.
3. Your account
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to that email account safe: anyone who can open your email can open your wedding workspace. One account holds one wedding. You can invite your partner and a planner as co-planners; they get the same access as you, so only invite people you trust.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Fees and payment
Building and previewing your invitation is free. Sending it to guests and using the planning tools requires a one-time fee for the plan you choose. Prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees before you pay, and there are no subscriptions or renewals.
Payment is by card through PayHere or by bank deposit. Because your workspace is unlocked as soon as payment is confirmed, fees are not refundable once the workspace has been unlocked, except where the law requires otherwise. If something has gone wrong, write to us and we will do our best to put it right.
5. Your invite link
You choose the name that becomes your wedding's address. It must not be offensive, impersonate someone else, or infringe a trademark, and we may refuse or change a name that does. Links are held for you while your wedding is active; they are released when the wedding is removed (see section 8).
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you add: names, wording, guest details, artwork you upload and any song clip you upload. You give us permission to store and display that content only as needed to run the service for you, for example showing your invitation to the guests you send it to.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use what you upload. In particular:
- Artwork must be yours, or licensed to you for this use.
- A song clip must be music you are entitled to use. We store only a short excerpt (up to 60 seconds) that you choose, and we play it only on your invitation. We do not provide, copy or download music for you.
- Guest names and phone numbers must be added and messaged with those guests' knowledge, in line with section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
Mangalam also includes a small library of background tracks. They are provided for invite ambience; all rights remain with the original artists, and we will remove a track promptly on a rights holder's request.
We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else's rights, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not use Mangalam to send unsolicited messages, to collect data about people who are not your guests, to harass anyone, or to probe or overload our systems. Automated scraping of invitation pages is not permitted.
8. How long a wedding stays
- Unpaid workspaces are kept for 3 days after you create your account. If the workspace is not unlocked by then it is deleted, including the invitation and its link, and the link becomes available to others. We send a reminder before this happens.
- After the wedding day the workspace becomes read-only. 7 days later the wedding and all its data (guests, RSVPs, budget, uploads) are permanently deleted. Export what you want to keep before then; a guest-list export is available from the dashboard.
- You can ask us to delete your wedding sooner at any time.
9. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Mangalam available, especially around your wedding day, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fee you paid for your wedding, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Sri Lankan law.
10. Ending your use
You may stop using Mangalam at any time and ask us to delete your wedding. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; where practical we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. When we make a material change we will note the new date at the top of this page and, for changes that affect you during an active wedding, let you know by email.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If a dispute cannot be settled between us, it will be resolved in Sri Lanka.
See also our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
